Rebel Angels

Rebel Angels Rebel Angels by Libba Bray

I actually started this book before reading A Great and Terrible Beauty only to find out this is the sequel Rebel Angels. After about 30 pages I had no idea what was going on, so I decided to stop and read the other book first. I’m glad that I read A Great and Terrible Beauty first because I would have been so lost through most of this book. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as A Great and Terrible Beauty because it was a bit more fantastical that the first book. I guess I have a hard time reading something that requires me to let go of my ideas to believe what is happening in the story. In movies it’s much easier but I had a hard time doing it with this book. Some of the fantasy scenes felt like they lasted a bit too long, too.
